Directions from Dublin Port to Longueville House by car are here

Note: if coming from Dublin Port by car you will use the M50, which is the main highway going around the city.  This includes a 'barrier free' toll where the license number of your car is automatically read.  This is matched to the car owner who then has 24 hours to pay the toll, either online with a credit card or at many corner shops and petrol stations.  If you are renting a car, ask the company if they expect you to pay.  If you have a UK registered car then in principle you should still pay but in practice there is some doubt as to whether you will be pursued for the payment!

To go to Longueville House by public transport:
  1. Take a taxi to Heuston railway station, which is about 4 miles away.  Alternatively, and if you do not have too much luggage, walk west out of the Port and turn left on East Wall Road. Look out for the O2, a large indoor venue for concerts.  On the west side of the O2 is The Point station for LUAS, Dublin's tram system, which will take you directly to Heuston station.
  2. From Heuston station there are trains every hour to Mallow (on the line to Cork city). See the Irish Rail website for the most up-to-date timetable and ticket prices.  Tickets can be booked online through the Irish Rail website for collection at the station.  The journey time is about 2 1/2 hours.
  3. From Mallow station, take a taxi to Longueville House, which is about 4 miles away.
